Design Philosophy    Biography

My approach to interior design is to elevate the client’s style, not impose my own. Their home should be a tasteful and timeless reflection of them. Much time is spent learning the dynamics and constraints of their day to day life. I pay special attention to children and pets. Consideration is given to items passed down from family or acquired through their life experiences. Ultimately, my goal is to create a unique and personal space for and about them.

My preferences lie in classical architecture, clean-lined forms, antiques, and unexpected accessories. I strive to reduce physical clutter thus, opening up a space to reveal its architecture and carefully edited pieces. The architecture is always the foundation and starting point.

I am happy to work in a variety of situations from hourly consulting, to renovation management, home staging, and everything in between. Most important to me is honesty and open communication. Whether the job is one room or a whole house, the design experience should be fun for us both and ask you- the client- to step, ever so slightly, outside your comfort zone.
